Rev. Dr. G. Thomas Martin

Meet Rev. Dr. G. Thomas Martin, stepping into LaGrange First UMC with 16 years of pastoral wisdom under his belt. His journey has taken him from Peachtree Road UMC to Sandy Springs UMC and Fayetteville First UMC—all while he earned his Doctor of Ministry from the Candler School of Theology. Before congregation life called him, Thomas completed his Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School (and if you happen to be a basketball fan, he’s always ready to chat!).

His passion? Guiding folks to dive deeper in faith, embracing love of God and neighbor at each step of the spiritual journey. In every church he’s served, he’s witnessed people spark real change when they’re engaged in worship and fueled by a heart for service.

At home, Thomas and his wife Leslie stay on their toes with three children and two playful pups. When he’s not busy with church, you’ll probably find him on a tennis court, doing his best to give Leslie some healthy competition.
