Sharon Wilkes

Meet Sharon Wilkes, our Communications & Membership Director. A graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern University) with a Master’s in Public Health Communication, Sharon spent 12 years writing copy and shaping marketing strategies for small businesses before stepping into her role here at LaGrange First United Methodist in 2024. Originally from Savannah, she moved to LaGrange in 2021 with her husband Shawn, their two sons, and two sweet pups—Blue and Bentley.

When she’s not busy spreading the word about what’s happening at church, Sharon loves to get her hands dirty in the garden, thrift for vintage treasures, and soak up quality time with her family. She’s also a passionate photographer, so don’t be surprised if you spot her behind the camera at services and events, always searching for that perfect moment to capture!
