Meet Don Papenbrock, our dedicated Minister of Music at LaGrange First United Methodist Church! From the very first note on Sunday morning, Don invites everyone into a worship experience that resonates long after the service ends. With a background steeped in choral direction and a heart for congregational singing, he’s passionate about uniting people through melody and praise.

Don’s love for music began early on—he’ll tell you stories of getting swept away by the hymns he grew up with, which sparked his calling to help others lift their voices in worship. Now, whether he’s planning special performances, leading choir rehearsals, or arranging contemporary praise sets, Don’s enthusiasm is nothing short of contagious.

Outside of ministry, he’s all about spending time with friends and family—sharing new music finds, telling stories, and reminding everyone that joyful noise isn’t just for Sundays. His warmth, talent, and devotion to making worship accessible for all truly capture the spirit of our church. We’re grateful Don’s here to lead us in song and celebrate God’s presence through every note!
