Becoming real doesn’t happen all at once. It hap Becoming real doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in pieces — at the altar, in fellowship, around the table, in the quiet ache of love that costs something. By the time you’re real, says the Skin Horse, you’re a little shabby. But that’s the point. Because being loved changes you — and somehow, even when it hurts, it doesn’t really hurt at all. For All Saints Sunday, we remembered those who became real before us — and showed us how love leaves its mark.
