LaGrange First United Methodist Church | Loving boldly. Serving joyfully. Leading courageously.
Whether you’re stepping through our doors for the first time or coming back to church after a season away, we want this to feel exactly like it should — easy, warm, and completely pressure-free. No dress code. No expectations. Just a place where you can breathe, worship, and maybe make a friend or two along the way.
Here’s everything you need to know before you show up at First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. (Spoiler: it’s not much.)
Step inside our sanctuary, grab a bulletin, and sit wherever you feel comfortable. That’s it. That’s the whole checklist.
From there, just let the morning unfold…
Gathering is something we do best at LaGrange First — whether it’s Sunday worship, a small group, or just an excuse to get together. You’re welcome here, any way you come.
Sundays at 11:00 am in our Sanctuary at 401 Broad Street in downtown LaGrange, Georgia. The service usually runs about an hour — just enough time to fill your cup and leave feeling like it mattered. Can’t make it in person? Watch our livestream on our website, Facebook, YouTube, or Vimeo, or listen on WLAG Radio (96.9 FM / 1240 AM).
Sunday School for kids and teens kicks off at 10:00 am. Nursery care opens at 9:45 am at the Vernon Street entrance to the Sanctuary, and Children’s Church is available during the main service (except on Communion Sundays — the first Sunday of each month — when we worship together as families). Your little ones are always in good hands.
We offer small group Sunday School classes for every season of life, Sundays at 10:00 am at LaGrange First United Methodist. Find the one that fits where you are right now.

There are two main parking lots to choose from when you visit us in downtown LaGrange:
Trinity Street Parking Lot (across from the church on Trinity Street) — this is the closest lot to the Sanctuary entrance. Handicap parking is available right along Trinity Street, next to the Sanctuary.
Vernon Street Parking Lot (near Waffle House, if that helps you find it) — another great option with easy access.
There’s also a small parking lot beside the Methodist Ministries Center (MMC), plus plenty of street parking along Broad Street if those fill up.
About an hour, give or take. Enough time to worship at LaGrange First UMC, hear a message that sticks with you, and still have your Sunday afternoon ahead of you.
Our 11:00 am Traditional Worship service typically wraps up by noon.
Absolutely. We totally get it — sometimes you just want a little preview before you walk through the door of a new church. You can watch our past worship services or catch us live this Sunday at 11:00 am via livestream on our website, Facebook, YouTube, or Vimeo. No commitment, no pressure.
After our 11:00 am worship service at LaGrange First United Methodist, our ministers (including Rev. Dr. Thomas Martin & Rev. Jatin Gill) will be in the Narthex (the lobby area near the sanctuary entrance) to greet attendees. This is a great time to introduce yourself, ask questions, or just say hello. We want you to feel at home here in LaGrange.
